have growing wealth and income inequality in america. yes, the wealthiest people and the large corporations who are doing phenomenally well are going to have to start paying their fair share of taxes. >> president obama's plan would bring in $1.2 trillion in revenue and extend unemployment benefits, which is pretty important. are these and other aspects of the president's counteroffer agreeable with you? certainly the unemployed are going to need some help. and we still have millions of people who are out of work in this country. what about that? there are some good things to this, but is it worth the gamble? >> obviously we want to do everything we can to protect the unemployed. but what we also have to understand, ed, and also what is not talked about enough is a result of i think the weak negotiating on the part of the white house in 2010 and 2011. we have already cut $1.5 trillion in programs. and up to this point, the wealthy haven't paid a nickel more in taxes. so i don't think it's a question of, you know, a little here and a little there. people on top doing phenomenall
